I just wanted to say thank you very much for the beautifully presented and delicious catering you and The Sauce Kitchen team did for us yesterday. It was just wonderful to know it was going to arrive as it did all ready to go.

Lots of great compliments on the food and presentations but most importantly, Helen, John & Robert's mother, was really happy with it all and the fact that there was enough!! I think she has carried fears of undercatering from a previous experience so it was great to be able to put them to rest!

Thank you so much for such a special treat.

Tony was amazing.  He shares so much, so freely and we all learnt so much from him.

Can't wait for the next class.

HI Robyn, just to say thank you so very much, and if you could pass on my thanks to Sharyn and everyone that was involved in organising Lizzie’s birthday party.  It was just fabulous, and you had obviously made such a special effort to make it lovely for her (orange balloons, anyone?).  The food was delicious and lovely Andrew pushed them along so well, it was just amazing

It was the best entertainment I have had for a long time and I learned heaps too. Tony's directions were given in an easy going way and his stories were enjoyable. We had a choice about participating or not. The food cooked was great. Especially the desert. Guess who has a sweet tooth? We thought that we would do another class with Tony towards the end of the year but there is none planned. It turned out to be a great girls night out.

Marbeling - this was fantastic. Mary also told us of different methods of using fondant and making colours and useful tips such as the layers sticking together and which tools were much more useful. Very happy with the class and look forward to the next one, A very enjoyable experience and learnt so much of what is available

I love the sauce cooking classes enjoying learning about cooking food from different cultures. The classes are a real joy to experience, also have a culinary appreciation of the different flavors

Arthur, Indian Banquet with Tony Ching - 04 Mar 2017 4:30 PM

This was a fabulous class, that really looked back at the basics. Lots of great tips and ideas. So much delicious food! Looking forward to the next class the Two Old Ducks do!

Bronwyn, Back to Basics with the Two Old Ducks - 08 Apr 2017 11:00 AM

What a fabulous couple of hours! I had no real knowledge of cheese making until this class and was surprised to find out just how easy it was. I can't wait to use my new kit. The fresh warm ricotta and herbed haloumi were to die for! Thank you so much Sasha for opening up a whole new world of cooking.

Todd, Toowoomba

I purchased the cooking class as part of my daughter's birthday present and she was delighted with the experience. She went on to cook baked ham and trifle for our family Christmas dinner. The course was excellent value for money and the instructor was wonderful with the children.

Great day with a beautiful baker! So much I'd never done before! Never simmered a chicken (turned out succulents). Never made a soufflé!! Lovely chicken pies were so simple to make but tasty! It was a feel good day!

The latest Sauce cooking class was a great success. Chef Tony's engaging manner and his amazing knowledge made the Asian class a joy to do. The trip around the Chinese grocery store was a revelation and well worth the extra time. Then the combination of great recipes with great outcomes and the opportunity to eat what we produced made for a thoroughly enjoyable learning experience. Peter and Geraldine

Geraldine, Asian Food Tour with Tony Ching - 04 Mar 2017 9:30 AM

I learnt to cook different things like fish, chicken sausage rolls and tartare sauce. My favourite part was when i got to mix the chicken mince with other stuff with my hands!

Isaac, HUNGRY Boys' Cooking Class (10-16 year olds)

Both Jason & myself enjoyed our cooking class immensely. Kelly was a great teacher whom I felt comfortable being in the kitchen with (I'm not much of a chef!) He showed us not only how to prepare and cook some fabulous recipes, but also gave us some tips when it comes to prepping food. I particularly liked the tip about peeling ginger. I also enjoyed hearing Kelly's stories about his overseas food trips. My favourite part of the class (of course!) was trying all the dishes we prepared. Yummo!! I would definitely attend another one of Kelly's classes.

Karen, Asian Wok with Kelly Lord - 25 Mar 2017 4:30 PM

We learnt how to perfect the basics and little tricks and tips along the way. I would recommend this class to others and enjoyed the experience and thought the instructor was very nice and full of information. I was expecting the class to be more hands on, for example I thought we would each be making our own bechamel and souffle's rather than watching someone making it and occasionally getting to crack eggs or stir something.

I am better informed about Mexican cooking. I was until the class only familiar with commercial Mexican fare but the class allowed me to have a deeper understanding of the origins of the Mexican meal. Tony did a great job in allowing the class to participate in the cooking. I also learnt what to expect in taste from Mexican food now. The meal together was awesome. Thank you

Arthur, Toowoomba

Absolutely outstanding Mexican cooking class with Alison on Saturday !!! Deb & I had a ball, Alison was an awesome teacher and the food was beautiful!!!

Ken Gordon, Toowoomba

Kate is a great trainer. All processes thoroughly explained. There was lots of time for hands on practise & several different coffee styles were also explained. Highly recommended.

Richard, Barista Training & Demonstration Class - 02 Apr 2017 8:30 AM

Very comprehensive and well paced class, I learned so much about using a knife the correct way and which knife is suitable for which process

Sheree, Knife Skills with Tony Ching (includes Furi knife!) - 25 Feb 2017 10:30 AM

It was great to see how many dishes we could make with only a few ingredients. The variety and flavours were fantastic.
