Soak up the renovated interior of this beautiful heritage building while browsing through the shelves of pots, pans, glassware, crockery, napery and all things related to cooking and dining.

Come in and enjoy some beautiful baking and a fresh Vivo coffee or tea while browsing in our kitchenwares. Organise a group or join our small groups to experience hands-on cooking classes from specialty baking to three course dining.

Behind the Scenes

Our building at 1 Station Street is thought to be the original grain merchants building erected in 1911, the interior exposed beams and open plan of the building has set the stage for a beautiful space. Fisher and Paykel supported us from the outset with a long list of their products in our cooking school.

Caesarstone added a very ‘polished’ look to our cooking area and Hettich beautified the way everything glides open and shut.

In the background of this beautiful space we are able to fill the area with products from kitchen tools to functional pots and pans and beautiful, creative pieces to be treasured. Our working motto is that if you need it in the kitchen or on the table we should stock it! Enter the chefs - inspired people to guide participants through ourclasses.

It was the best entertainment I have had for a long time and I learned heaps too. Tony's directions were given in an easy going way and his stories were enjoyable. We had a choice about participating or not. The food cooked was great. Especially the desert. Guess who has a sweet tooth? We thought that we would do another class with Tony towards the end of the year but there is none planned. It turned out to be a great girls night out.

Marbeling - this was fantastic. Mary also told us of different methods of using fondant and making colours and useful tips such as the layers sticking together and which tools were much more useful. Very happy with the class and look forward to the next one, A very enjoyable experience and learnt so much of what is available

The latest Sauce cooking class was a great success. Chef Tony's engaging manner and his amazing knowledge made the Asian class a joy to do. The trip around the Chinese grocery store was a revelation and well worth the extra time. Then the combination of great recipes with great outcomes and the opportunity to eat what we produced made for a thoroughly enjoyable learning experience. Peter and Geraldine

Kate is a great trainer. All processes thoroughly explained. There was lots of time for hands on practise & several different coffee styles were also explained. Highly recommended.
